Welcome to

Rob's Giant Scale War Bird's

Brought to you by  JG-52, Inc.

Welcome to my Giant Scale War Bird Site.   This site is dedicated to my love of Giant Scale R/C War Birds of the WWII era, in particular those of the Luftwaffe.  This site is in no way political, it does not endorse any political ideology or party.  It is dedicated merely to my love of military aviation history, and the brave men of all nations and the machines that made that history.  Please feel free to look around, and e-mail me with any comments or suggestions at:                                                                                                                                 rob@warbirdbuilder.com

As you will see, not only do I love to build and fly these magnificent airplanes.  I also have a great admiration and respect for others who share my love of this hobby and of aviation history in general.

New  Stuff

11-20-04      I have just added a new page "Aces Autographs", on which I will share my collection with you.  Eventually, each photo will have a brief biography accompanying it.  It contains primarily autographs of Luftwaffe aces, but there are a few others as well.  I hope you enjoy it!

11-20-04     I have the priviledge of bringing you, with the gracious permission of the author, Colin D. Heaton II, PhD and WWII Magazine, the last interview given by the "Ace of Aces", Erich Hartmann before his death.  I hope that you enjoy it!

New Products Now Available from JG-52, Inc.

I am now offering some great Photo Packs  of  WWII Russian/Soviet aircraft in your choice of format, photo or CD!    Also, super  CD's on Mig's and Sukhoi's, each having over 45 minutes of video clips and hundreds of photos!    And a great CD on  "Monino, The Russian Air Force Museum" which contains a 30+ min. video of it's history and over 140 photos of the aircraft on display.

(all audio and text is in Russian, but still a wealth of information...you won't be disappointed)

Monino - The Russian Air Force Museum

A feature on my recent trip ( Summer 2004 ) to the Russian Air Force Museum, at Monino outside of Moscow.  I spent 2 days there photographing the airplanes and talking with retired Russian pilots.  I could easily have spent 2 full weeks there, it is a fascinating place.  This feature is "under construction", I will be working on it and adding new photos and information over the next few weeks, so stop back often!

                                             Event News

Great News!  The "Dino Di Giorgio Memorial Warbird Scale Classic" lives!  Dean has managed to keep the event alive, but he has had to move the location to Florida.  It will be held in December, a great time of year for us up north to visit the sunshine state!  I know, one less event up north, but hey, it's better then one less event period.  Check out the WMWA website for details.                                                          http://www.wmwa.org

As for the event that I have been trying to organize, the "Fall Warbird Shootout", well the news isn't as good for this one.   Due to a severe lack of help, it doesn't look like the event will take place this year.  I have come to the realization that I simply can not do everything myself ... not in the time frame that I allowed myself anyway.  I am already working towards next year however.

I would like to thank all the folks who have shown interest in the event, and will keep you all posted as to the progress for next year.

                                                                                                                                                                    Thanks,

                                                                                                                                                                     Rob
